FreedomWorks Announces Launch of Hispanic Grassroots Alliance

WASHINGTON, D.C. — FreedomWorks is proud to announce the launch of its Hispanic Grassroots Alliance with the goal of supporting and energizing small government, pro-freedom grassroots activists in the Hispanic community. Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“We are thrilled to launch our FreedomWorks Hispanic Grassroots Alliance, which will elevate the voices of hardworking patriots who care about the things that make America great. Our Hispanic Grassroots Alliance will include some of the strongest activists in the country and will support economic freedom; a pro-America education system that delivers for our children; and policies that promote safe communities.”

Cesar Ybarra, FreedomWorks Senior Director of Legislative Affairs, commented:

“Democrats don’t like to admit it, but Hispanic voters across America are increasingly embracing conservative values. In fact, an August 2021 poll commissioned by FreedomWorks in conjunction with The Bullfinch Group told us that Hispanics express warm feelings towards a free market system, viewing it nearly 20 percent more favorably than socialism. In terms of education, Hispanics demonstrate strong opposition to the teaching of Critical Race Theory (CRT) in schools. And after more than a year of COVID disruptions, Hispanic voters are concerned over whether American children are falling behind in school, compared to children in other countries.

“At the same time, Hispanics showed support for law enforcement and not defunding the police. In fact, a majority of Hispanic and Latino voters believe states should penalize cities that defund their police departments. Support for cracking down on crime and maintaining safe communities both have importance ratings of 9 out of 10 on average.

“By visiting key states and conducting programming in Spanish as well as English, FreedomWorks will reach Hispanic voters where they are and provide support and training for activists to engage with their elected officials. Now is the time to harness the power of the grassroots and do all we can to support the pro-freedom values of one of America’s fastest growing communities.”

In the coming months, FreedomWorks plans to host an initial series of in-state, grassroots events as part of this initiative:
