FreedomWorks’ Building Education for Students Together Unveils School Board Candidate Toolkit

WASHINGTON, D.C. — FreedomWorks’ Building Education for Students Together (BEST) is proud to announce the release of our School Board Candidate Toolkit. This toolkit is based on 18 months of successful BEST School Board Candidate Academy trainings and features all the information and advice necessary for running an effective campaign for school board. The School Board Candidate Toolkit is the premier resource for parents of all shades of experience to get involved in the education reform movement by running for office and making lasting changes from within the education establishment.

Laura Zorc, FreedomWorks’ Director of Education Reform, commented:

“This toolkit has been a long time in the making, and is the answer to a call from parents who are tired of being left out of the picture when it comes to the education of their children. It provides succinct, easy-to-follow, practical advice for anyone interested in running for local school board, no matter their background or experience. Additionally, this toolkit is an excellent companion for our BEST School Board Academy. I could not be more excited for the future of our school boards and school board candidates, many of whom have already made incredible strides for education reform in their communities.”
