FreedomWorks Foundation Submits Formal Comment in Opposition to President Biden’s Vaccine Mandate

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Today, FreedomWorks Foundation submitted a letter to the Department of Labor and President Biden opposing the president’s vaccine mandate for businesses with 100 or more employees. Over 2,300 activists signed onto the letter.

Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“President Biden’s vaccine mandate is unwise, unnecessary, and will do little in the way to encourage the vaccine-resistant to get the shot. Businesses are perfectly capable of determining what works for their employees, and there’s no reason why the government should have to step in and interfere. Instead of getting people back to work and growing our economy, this mandate will cause people to lose their jobs and businesses. Not only will this cause workers and job-creators to suffer, but it will no doubt have a negative impact on the economy as a whole.

“Mr. Biden campaigned as the unity president, but this mandate makes it clear that he is failing to make good on his rhetoric. Circumventing the governmental processes meant to protect those with minority views- is certainly not the way to bring people together and the harm it will do to our nation will ultimately far surpass the virus.”
