FreedomWorks Hails Passage of Civil Asset Forfeiture Reform in Ohio Senate

Following the unanimous passage of civil asset forfeiture reform legislation, HB 347, in the Ohio Senate, FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon commented:

“It’s a great day for private property rights in my home state. Once the House concurs with the Senate’s version of the bill, Ohio will join the growing list of states that have passed civil asset forfeiture reform to protect private property from government overreach and strengthen due process protections. This is a particularly sweet victory for FreedomWorks. Our community in the Buckeye State drove nearly 60,000 messages to state senators urging them to pass HB 347, showing substantial grassroots support for this crucial effort.”

FreedomWorks aims to educate, build, and mobilize the largest network of activists advocating the principles of smaller government, lower taxes, free markets, personal liberty and the rule of law. For more information, please visit www.FreedomWorks.org or contact Jason Pye at JPye@FreedomWorks.org.
