FreedomWorks Sends Letter to Senate Opposing FAA Nominee Washington

WASHINGTON, D.C. — FreedomWorks sent a letter today to Senate Leadership opposing the confirmation of Phil Washington, President Biden’s nominee to serve as Director of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA),  Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“President Biden’s nominee, Phil Washington, is not qualified to serve at the helm of the FAA. While Washington has experience in other fields of transportation, his clear lack of aviation experience disqualifies him from serving as the FAA’s director. To confirm Washington to such a consequential position would be irresponsible to say the least. For this reason, it is imperative that the Senate not issue Washington a waiver to proceed with his nomination.”
