FreedomWorks Statement in Response to Cancellation of Keystone XL Pipeline Project

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to TC Energy and the Albertan government’s announcement that they will abandon construction on the Keystone XL pipeline, Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President commented:

“Is the Keystone XL Pipeline infrastructure? That’s the question any objective news outlet should have been asking President Biden these past few months. There’s no doubt that cancellation of the Keystone XL Pipeline will have a damaging impact on workers, American energy independence, and economic activity in key pipeline states including Montana and Nebraska.

“Biden seems content to discard the blue collar facade he maintained throughout the 2020 campaign as he bends the knee to radical environmentalists. This explains why we are staring down a bloated, multi-trillion dollar plan that looks to big government as the savior of anything that Democrats want to be defined as ‘infrastructure.’”
