FreedomWorks Statement in Response to Continued Problems Associated With Widespread Voting By Mail

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to reports of substantial logistical woes associated with Pennsylvania’s mail-in ballot application process, Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“With less than a month left to go before Election Day, it should come as no surprise that Americans are raising valid concerns with elected officials’ push for widespread voting by mail. What we are seeing in Pennsylvania is a stark reminder that states lack the infrastructure to handle such a major influx in mail ballots and applications in such a short time frame. This is not a problem that can be fixed with increased funding– the system is simply not designed to handle widespread voting by mail. As a result of the push for widespread voting by mail, Americans are losing faith in the electoral process. Once again, in-person voting is the only proper way to conduct a presidential election.”
