FreedomWorks Statement in Response to the House Rules Committee Announcing Consideration of Biden’s Big Government Socialism Bill

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to the House Rules Committee announcing consideration of Biden’s Big Government Socialism Bill, Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“In only a matter of hours, Democrats went from barely having a framework for their disastrous Big Government Socialism Bill to releasing a hastily written 1,700-page monstrosity.

“Today’s actions in the House of Representatives exemplify how broken the legislative process is. Without any debate, Democrats are on the verge of imposing consequential cradle-to-grave social policies that will have a negative impact on future generations.

“At this point, there is no difference between the infrastructure bill and the reconciliation bill. We are urging all House Republicans to not follow the lead of 19 weak-kneed Senate Republicans who played a part in this disastrous legislative gambit. A vote for infrastructure is a vote for reconciliation."
