FreedomWorks Statement in Response to North Carolina Ballot Curing, Recasting
WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to the estimated 10,000 improperly completed ballots in North Carolina that need to be either cured or recast before November 3, Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:
“With less than two weeks to go until Election Night, it is troubling that roughly 10,000 North Carolina voters will have to make amends to their ballots in such a short span of time. Worse than that, some of these voters will have to recast their ballots entirely, which opens the door to fraud, error, and delivery delays all over again. This need for ballot curing and recasting in NC proves that widespread voting by mail is not the seamless, safe process that Democrats have made it out to be. This would not be the case if those who could do so voted safely and responsibly in-person. In fact, North Carolinians, along with American voters across the country would not even be facing this issue if it wasn’t for Democrats’ incessant and irresponsible push for widespread vote by mail. It is no wonder that Americans have since lost faith in the electoral process.”
