FreedomWorks Statement in Response to Senate Confirmation of Russ Vought As Director of OMB

WASHINGTON, D.C. — FreedomWorks congratulates Russ Vought on his Senate confirmation tonight to serve as Director of the Office of Management and Budget (OMB). In past months, FreedomWorks Foundation’s grassroots activist community drove over 123,000 messages to the Senate in support of Vought’s confirmation to Director of OMB. Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks’ President, commented:

“As our national debt approaches a staggering $27 trillion in the wake of unprecedented stimulus spending, it is crucial that we support leaders who are equipped to address our fiscal situation. Simply put, there is no one more qualified for this essential position than Russ Vought.

“Now more than ever, our nation requires the consistency that comes with confirming the leadership of someone like Vought who has already been at the helm for well-over a year.
