FreedomWorks Statement in Response to Senate Rules Committee Field Hearing in Atlanta, Georgia

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to the Senate Committee on Rules’ field hearing on “Protecting the Freedom to Vote,” Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“Today’s stunt hearing led by liberal Senators Klobuchar and Ossoff was simply a display of Democrats’ disdain for the Constitution and the right of the state legislatures to set the time, places, and manners of holding elections. Today’s hearing was a mere attempt to promote the John Lewis Voting Rights Act, a bill that would effectively federalize our elections and undermine our republican form of government while at the same time weaken election integrity.
