FreedomWorks Statement in Response to September Jobs Report

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to the September, 2020 jobs report released today by the Bureau of Labor Statistics which showed unemployment has decreased to under eight percent, Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“Today’s job’s report demonstrates that we are, in fact, in a V-shaped recovery. With Americans having gained over 650,000 jobs in the last month, driving the unemployment rate below eight percent, our economic recovery has astounded even the most optimistic forecasters. As we continue to combat the virus, and safely and responsibly reopen our economy, life will continue to return to normal and people will continue to return to work.

“President Trump’s hands-off economic approach has proven that the proper response to economic crises is to allow the private sector to do what it does best. Hopefully, this economic rebound based on free market principles will serve as a model for how we address future crises.”
