FreedomWorks Supports Education Transparency Legislation in Pennsylvania

WASHINGTON, D.C. — FreedomWorks applauds the Pennsylvania House Education Committee’s approval of House Bill 1332, which requires public and charter schools in the keystone state to make curricula available online to the public.

Laura Zorc, FreedomWorks Director of Education Reform, commented:

“After a year of lockdowns, parents are fighting to take back control of their children’s education. This legislation provides much needed transparency about what is being taught in classrooms and empowers parents to make well-informed decisions about their child’s schooling. Parents are responsible for their child’s development and are the final authority on their child’s education, not the government. Making lessons available to the public is the right step forward in loosening the grip of power-hungry teachers unions and special interests groups on our nation’s schools. Hopefully, other states will follow Pennsylvania’s lead.”
