FreedomWorks Supports Pennsylvania Senate Republicans’ Fight to Preserve Election Integrity

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to Pennsylvania Republican State Senators’ decision to ask the United States Supreme Court to overturn the extension of the Keystone State’s mail-in ballot deadline, Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“This month, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court set a dangerous precedent when it ruled in favor of extending the mail-in ballot deadline three days past election day. Changing the rules this late in the game only sows more uncertainty and chaos in this key battleground state and further feeds into the Democrats’ false narrative that mail-in voting is the only way to vote this year. Pennsylvania State Senators are absolutely right to challenge this ruling by appealing to the United States Supreme Court.

“The situation unfolding in Pennsylvania provides proof of why the integrity of this election hinges on a swift confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the Supreme Court. In order to settle this challenge and all others that may arise, it is critical that the Supreme Court maintains a full complement of nine justices. As Democrats continue to manipulate the electoral system in order to diminish Americans’ faith in the electoral process, we cannot risk the possibility of any split decisions on the highest court in the land.”

FreedomWorks will host the first of two activist fly-ins this coming weekend, October 2-5, in Washington, D.C on the issue of election integrity. Grassroots activists from key battleground states such as Pennsylvania will be in attendance.
