FreedomWorks to Host South Carolina Congressional Candidate Forum to Replace Tim Scott’s SC-1 Seat

Washington, DC –FreedomWorks will join constituents of South Carolina’s First District for the first and only congressional candidate forum with all 16 Republican candidates competing in the March 19th primary. Each candidate will have the opportunity to present opening and closing statements, with a series of questions prepared by representatives of local grassroots organizations across the District.

Candidates participating in the forum will include: Mark Sanford, Teddy Turner, Peter McCoy, Larry Grooms, Curtis Bostic, Ray Nash, Elizabeth Moffley, Shawn Pinkston, Andy Patrick, John Kuhn, Keith Blandford, Jeff King, Jonathan Hoffman, Tim Larkin, Chip Limehouse and Ric Bryant.

WHEN: Saturday, February 16th, 2013 from 2:00-4:00 pm ET.

WHERE: Embassy Suites Hotel Convention Center, 5055 International Boulevard, North Charleston, SC 29418.

WHY: The purpose of the forum is to educate South Carolina voters on the issues, and to provide an opportunity for constituents to hear from the GOP candidates running to replace Rep. Tim Scott (R-SC), who recently left the seat to accept an appointment to the US Senate.
