Orange County FreedomWorks Activists Speak Out Against Transfer Tax Advertising

NORTH CAROLINA.  On Tuesday, March 18, 2008, Orange County FreedomWorks activists showed up and spoke out as county commissioners considered how much tax money to spend to educate the voters to tax themselves.  An increase in the local real estate transfer tax, or HOME TAX, will be on the May primary ballot.  Those attending the meeting were met by FreedomWorks activists with signs, lapel stickers, and bumper stickers.  Wearing FreedomWorks lapel stickers stating "FREEDOMWORKS –  NO LAND TRANSFER TAX!", activists addressed commissioners.  During the meeting, Orange County Commissioners voted to spend $100,00 in "voter education" about the tax option.
