Support the Combatting Racist Training in the Military Act, H.R. 3134 and S. 968
H.R. 3134 and S. 968, introduced by Rep. Dan Bishop (R-N.C.) and Sen. Tom Cotton (R-Ark.).
The Combatting Racist Training in the Military Act would ban training programs and teachings based on critical race theory (CRT) in our nation’s military and service academies. This divisive theory, which holds that America is fundamentally racist, that our Constitution is a racist document and that certain races are oppressive or oppressed, has no place in any of our institutions and especially in our military.
Critical race theory is an incredibly divisive postmodern ideology developed in academia which undermines the institutions of our country. This ideology teaches that viewing hard work and objective thinking as keys to success is an aspect of whiteness and inherently contributes to racism in our country. The spread of CRT from university campuses to our communities and institutions would be incredibly damaging for our nation as a whole and highly divisive as well.
Servicemembers and students in the military academies should not be subject to race-based indoctrination. Instead, as common sense would hold, their training and teachings should be focused on preparedness to defend our nation and its people, and not on woke culture.
For these reasons, I urge you to contact your Representative and Senators and ask them to cosponsor the Combatting Racist Training in the Military Act, H.R. 3134 and S. 968.
