Support the CRA to Disapprove President Biden’s Illegal Vaccine Mandate, S. J. Res. 29 and H. J. Res. 65
Our Constitution establishes three co-equal branches of government, each with a unique and separate role. The legislature’s responsibility is to write laws, the executive’s responsibility is to execute laws, and the judiciary’s responsibility is to interpret laws. Unfortunately, this does not stop President Joe Biden and the regulatory state from infringing on Congress’ Article I authority.
On September 9th, President Joe Biden announced that his administration would mandate the COVID-19 vaccine and testing for millions of hardworking Americans. After a long wait, the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) published the mandate, set to take full effect on January 4th, 2022.
This legislation would disapprove the rule submitted by the Department of Labor relating to “COVID-19 Vaccination and Testing Emergency Temporary Standard Rulemaking,” a common-sense measure that all lawmakers should be on record supporting. If this legislation is passed by both houses of Congress and signed by the president, OSHA’s rule would not go into effect.
The resolution will provide a strong message in favor of individual liberty and medical freedom, reinforcing that the legislature, not the executive, writes the law.
For these reasons, I urge you to contact your representatives and ask them to cosponsor the CRA to disapprove President Joe Biden’s illegal vaccine mandate, S. J. Res. 29 and H. J. Res. 65.
FreedomWorks will count the support for S. J. Res. 29 and H. J. Res. 65 on our 2021 Congressional Scorecard. We reserve the right to score any amendments, motions, or other related votes. The scorecard is used to determine eligibility for the FreedomFighter Award, which recognizes Members of the House and Senate who consistently vote to support economic freedom and individual liberty.
Sincerely,
Adam Brandon,
