Kevin Hern (R-Okla.) in the House and Sen. Mike Braun (R-Ind.) in the Senate, this resolution calls on Congress to reject Modern Monetary Theory (MMT) outright, recognizing that acceptance of MMT will lead to higher spending, higher debt, and higher inflation.

FreedomWorks is proud to announce that our bill of the month for February 2021 is the Protecting our Wealth of Energy Resources (POWER) Act, S. 76, introduced by Sen. Cynthia Lummis (R- Wyo.). The POWER Act would prohibit the President from unilaterally issuing new energy or mineral moratoria on federal lands and waters. This legislation is a direct response to President Biden’s Executive Order directing the Department of Interior to halt “new oil and natural gas leases on public lands or in offshore waters.”

Thomas Massie (R-Ky.) and Chellie Pingree (D-Maine) and in the Senate by Sens. Rand Paul (R-Ky.) and Angus King (I-Maine). This bipartisan legislation would loosen restrictions so that meat processed in a state-licensed facility can be sold locally -- without regulation from the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) -- in an effort to help address issues with our meat supply chain that have become glaringly obvious during the COVID-19 pandemic.
