On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote YES on the Lee amendment (#928) and the Paul amendment (#929) to the Permanent Authorization of the September 11th Victims Compensation Fund Act, H.R. 1327, offered by Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) and Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), respectively. These two amendments complement each other, ensuring that the reauthorization of the Victims Compensation Fund (VCF) is fiscally responsible and held accountable to its purpose.

On behalf of FreedomWorks activists, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to support or oppose as prescribed each amendment below to the National Defense Authorization Act, H.R. 2500. Because some amendments are included in en bloc packages, those are separated out from the amendments which will receive individual floor consideration.

On behalf of FreedomWorks activists nationwide, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to vote in the manner prescribed for each amendment below to the Labor, Health and Human Services, Education, Legislative Branch, Defense, State, Foreign Operations, and Energy and Water Development Appropriations Act, H.R. 2740. As is always the case, FreedomWorks reserves the right to key vote any amendment brought to the floor for a vote.

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to vote NO on the Senate Amendment to the Supplemental Appropriations Act, H.R. 2157. This amendment would provide for more than $19 billion in funds for disaster relief for wildfires, hurricanes, and flooding, as well as for Puerto Rico, without any offsets for the new spending.

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote YES on the Pennies Plan Balanced Budget, S. 1332. Introduced by Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), the Pennies Plan Balanced Budget would cut two cents for every dollar of on-budget spending beginning in FY 2020. This would balance the federal budget by FY 2024, without making any changes to Social Security.

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to vote NO on the Supplemental Appropriations Act, H.R. 2157, sponsored by Rep. Nita Lowey (D-N.Y.). The Supplemental Appropriations Act would provide for an additional $17.2 billion in emergency relief funds with no offsets, although the Disaster Relief Fund still has more than $29 billion in it. The bill would also further other big-government policies, including duplicative agriculture subsidies, National Flood Insurance Program reauthorization, and community development block grant spending.

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to vote NO on the Protecting Americans With Preexisting Conditions Act, H.R. 986, sponsored by Rep. Ann Kuster (D-N.H.). The Protecting Americans With Preexisting Conditions Act, contrary to its short title, would do nothing to protect Americans with preexisting conditions and would instead only make it more difficult for Americans both with and without preexisting conditions to have the choices they need to get the best health insurance and subsequently to get the best quality of healthcare for themselves.

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote YES on the veto override for the Yemen War Powers Resolution, S.J.Res. 7, championed by Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah). The Yemen War Powers Resolution, which has already been passed by both chambers of Congress, would require the removal of undeclared, unauthorized United States’ support for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen absent explicit congressional authorization.

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and urge him or her to vote NO on the so-called “For the People Act,” H.R. 1, introduced by Rep. John Sarbanes (D-Md.). The bill, which would be more appropriately titled the “Incumbent Protection Act,” includes several problematic provisions, many of which run roughshod over the freedom of speech and freedom of association protected by the First Amendment and privacy.
