On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to vote NO on the Supplemental Appropriations Act, H.R. 268. The legislation would spend another $12.1 billion for disaster relief for areas affected by Hurricane Florence, Hurricane Michael, wildfires, and other recent natural disasters without any offsets for the new spending.
On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and urge them to vote YES on the First Step Act amendment to S. 756, sponsored by Sen. Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa). The First Step Act would reform the federal criminal justice system to make our communities safer by reducing crime and focusing limited resources on the most dangerous offenders.
On behalf of FreedomWorks activists nationwide, I urge you to contact your representative and senators and urge them to vote NO on the conference report for the Agriculture and Nutrition Act, H.R. 2, otherwise known as the “Farm Bill.” This bill expands millions in wasteful and unnecessary subsidies, and contains no conservative reforms on work requirements for food stamps.
On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote NO on the Resolution to Undo the Expansion of Short-Term Limited Duration Health Plans, S.J.Res. 63, sponsored by Sen. Tammy Baldwin (D-Wis.). The resolution would use the Congressional Review Act to overturn a rule issued earlier this year by the Trump administration that expanded consumer access to short-term, limited-duration (STLD) health plans. STLD plans offer some of the only relief to consumers have as of now from ObamaCare’s Title I regulations that have driven health insurance costs through the roof.
On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and urge them to vote YES on the nomination of Judge Brett Kavanaugh to the U.S. Supreme Court. Judge Kavanaugh is a worthy nominee who will interpret the Constitution as written and stop unconstitutional government expansion.
On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to vote NO on the Defense, Labor, and Health and Human Services (HHS) minibus, H.R. 6157. In addition to spending profligately on programs included in the minibus, it also includes a short-term continuing resolution (CR) for remaining appropriations bills into fiscal year 2019.
On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to vote NO on the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Reauthorization Act, H.R. 302, introduced by Rep. Bill Shuster (R-Ohio). This bill provides no meaningful reforms and contains language that could threaten the civil liberties of American citizens.
On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representatives and ask him or her to vote NO on the Empowering Financial Institutions to Fight Human Trafficking Act, H.R. 6729. The bill is intended to give a “safe harbor” to nonprofits for reporting suspicions of human trafficking or related money laundering in order to combat human trafficking, which is undoubtedly a noble and important effort.
On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote NO on the Defense, Labor, and Health and Human Services (HHS) minibus, H.R. 6157. The bill includes a short-term continuing resolution (CR) for remaining appropriations bills, continuing the excessive spending under the Bipartisan Budget Act, which was passed by Congress in February and spent nearly $300 billion more than the previously established spending caps.
On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your senators and ask them to vote NO on the House Amendment to the National Flood Insurance Program Extension Act, S. 1182. This amendment would reauthorize the National Flood Insurance Program (NFIP), which currently expires July 31, until November 30, without any reforms to the program.
