Today, FreedomWorks President Adam Brandon sent a letter alongside 190 of our Oklahoma activists to the Oklahoma State Senate in strong opposition to Senate Bill 734: An Act relating to prescription drugs

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to oppose the Corporate Transparency Act, H.R. 2513. Introduced by Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D-N.Y.), the Corporate Transparency Act is framed as legislation that would crack down on fraudulent shell companies and money laundering, but the bill would create five new federal crimes for paperwork violations and may have long-term privacy implications.

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to oppose the Stopping Consumption of Tobacco by Teens (SCOTT) Act, H.R. 2084, introduced by Rep. Rob Aderholt (R-Ala.) and the Reversing the Youth Tobacco Epidemic Act, H.R. 2339, introduced by Rep. Frank Pallone (D-N.J.). These bills, despite their short titles, would actually make it more difficult for Americans from all backgrounds to get access to healthier alternatives to smoking.

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and senators and ask them to oppose the Save the Internet Act, H.R. 1644 and S. 682. Introduced by Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) and Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.), the Save the Internet Act would repeal the Trump administration’s Restoring Internet Freedom Order and re-implement big government Title II regulations.

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to oppose the so-called “For the People Act,” H.R. 1. Introduced by Rep. John Sarbanes (D-Md.), the For the People Act would deter political free speech and federalize elections. This is one of the more bold-faced assaults on the First Amendment that has come through Congress in quite some time.

FreedomWorks strongly opposes the discussion draft entitled “The Counter Terrorism and Illicit Finance Act,” which is slated for discussion at a November 29, 2017 joint hearing between the Financial Institutions and Consumer Credit and the Terrorism and Illicit Finance subcommittees.
