You may have heard the oft-repeated narrative that concerns over voting by mail are baseless. This is a dangerous narrative that puts Americans’ votes at risk and undermines public confidence in how we conduct elections.

With just two weeks until the November election, an alarming number of reports have surfaced confirming voters’ worst fears about widespread voting by mail. Potential difficulties associated with a major increase in mail ballots have also been documented by those on both sides of the aisle in the past and should be a subject of bipartisan concern.
