WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In response to the House’s passage today of the so-called Save the Internet Act, Patrick Hedger, FreedomWorks Foundation Director of Policy, commented:
On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and ask him or her to vote NO on the so-called “Save the Internet” Act, sponsored by Rep. Michael Doyle (D-Pa.). This legislation would undo the steps the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) has taken to restore a more free, innovative Internet.
On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and senators and ask them to oppose the Save the Internet Act, H.R. 1644 and S. 682. Introduced by Mike Doyle (D-Pa.) and Sen. Ed Markey (D-Mass.), the Save the Internet Act would repeal the Trump administration’s Restoring Internet Freedom Order and re-implement big government Title II regulations.
