Independent Women’s Forum Names a New President

The Independent Women’s Forum (IWF) is proud to announce that Nancy Mitchell Pfotenhauer has been named President and Chief Executive Officer of the IWF, beginning in March 2001.

Pfotenhauer brings valuable professional and public policy experience to IWF, and is a veteran media commentator and former television talk show host. A member of IWF’s Board of Directors, she previously served as a Board Member and as Executive Vice President for Policy of Citizens for a Sound Economy.

Most recently she has been Director of the Washington office of Koch Industries, a diversified energy company with operations in 44 states. Earlier in her career she worked as Chief Economist for President George Bush’s Council on Competitiveness and as Economic Counsel for Senator William Armstrong (R-CO).

On her recent appointment Pfotenhauer said, “For years IWF has been a beacon to women who believe that freedom, responsibility, honor, and justice matter and who don’t believe that our gender requires us to check our brains at the door. IWF is a voice of common sense for mainstream Americans, and I look forward to my new role in this organization.”

The Independent Women’s Forum (http://www.iwf.org ) is a non-partisan, non-profit organization dedicated to research and education on issues concerning women.
