FreedomWorks Weighs in on the USA FREEDOM Act

Washington, DC- With the U.S. Senate set to hold a cloture vote on whether to proceed to debate on the USA FREEDOM Act, a bill which seeks to rein in the NSA’s unconstitutional and warrantless surveillance, FreedomWorks President Matt Kibbe commented:

“The USA FREEDOM Act is not a perfect bill, but it does represent a genuine effort to curb the NSA’s indiscriminate and warrantless collection of American’s phone data. We are encouraging efforts to strengthen and improve the bill through the amendment process, and hope to see the Senate bring the bill to the floor for an open debate before making a final decision.”
