Rand Paul Becomes the Sixth Candidate to Confirm for the Rising Tide Summit

Senator Rand Paul (R-KY) confirmed his participation for the Rising Tide Summit, hosted by FreedomWorks, and Congressman Rod Blum (R-IA-1), on Saturday, December 5 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The summit will allow grassroots activists to engage presidential candidates on their plans to grow the economy.

Following Senator Paul’s acceptance of the invitation to the Rising Tide Summit, FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon commented:

“Rand Paul has proposed an ambitious, pro-growth tax plan – a hybrid of a flat tax and a national retail sales tax – and he brings an important dynamic to the Rising Tide Summit. With six presidential candidates now confirmed, we urge remaining campaigns to join the event so the grassroots can vet their plans to get America’s economy moving again.”

Dr. Ben Carson, Senator Ted Cruz (R-TX), former Hewlett-Packard CEO Carly Fiorina, Governor Bobby Jindal (R-LA), and former Senator Rick Santorum (R-PA) will join Senator Paul at the Rising Tide Summit. Invitations were sent to every major party candidate polling above 1 percent nationally.
