FreedomWorks Responds to Hillary Clinton’s SCOTUS Comments

Following Hillary Clinton’s speech chastising Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Chuck Grassley (R-Iowa) and Sen. Ron Johnson (R-Wis.) for refusing to hold confirmation hearings on President Barack Obama’s Supreme Court nominee, FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon commented:

"If Hillary Clinton is criticizing you, you must be doing something right. We stand with Sens. Grassley and Johnson for holding the line against confirming a new Supreme Court justice this year. The Senate is performing its constitutional responsibility of ‘advice and consent,’ and their advice is that the American people should be allowed to select a new president before irrevocably tilting the balance of the court."’

FreedomWorks’ grassroots activists have delivered nearly a million messages to Senate Republicans demanding that there be no hearing and no votes until the next president is sworn into office.

FreedomWorks aims to educate, build, and mobilize the largest network of activists advocating the principles of smaller government, lower taxes, free markets, personal liberty and the rule of law. For more information, please visit www.FreedomWorks.org or contact Jason Pye at JPye@FreedomWorks.org.
