FreedomWorks Statement in Response to Justice Department’s Approval of T-Mobile/Sprint Merger

WASHINGTON, D.C. — In response to the Justice Department’s approval today of the T-Mobile/Sprint merger, Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“We applaud the Justice Department’s ability to come to an agreement on this merger, which will have vast benefits for the American economy. This merger is crucial for the development of 5G in the United States and will no doubt speed up the development of a next generation network that reaches every American home. This will help close the digital divide in rural America and in other underserved communities.

“We are also encouraged to see that this deal has bipartisan support. We urge all parties involved, including state attorneys general, to get on board with this agreement that will unleash a new era of American innovation and prosperity. This is truly a great day for the future of technology in the United States.”
