FreedomWorks Announces Key Vote “NO” on the United States Innovation and Competition Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Last week, FreedomWorks urged our activists to contact their Senators and ask them to oppose the United States Innovation and Competition Act. In response to the expected vote on this bill, Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“Should the Senate take a vote on final passage of the United States Innovation and Competition Act, FreedomWorks will be issuing a key vote ‘NO.’ Senate Republicans must continue to demonstrate to the American people that they will fight to demand a better legislative process and fiscal responsibility.

“Throughout history, America has demonstrated that the proper answer to oppression is freedom and liberty. When staring down a tyrannical regime like the Chinese Communist Party, the answer to economic despotism should be economic freedom. Hopefully, Congress will wake up to this reality and advance free-market approaches to dealing with the China question.”
