FreedomWorks Calls on House Republicans To Vote “No” on Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act

WASHINGTON, D.C. — Ahead of the impending vote on the Infrastructure Investment and Jobs Act in the U.S. House of Representatives, FreedomWorks calls on House Republicans to vote ‘no’ on the legislation.

Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“As Speaker Pelosi scrambles to force a vote on the infrastructure bill this week, we ask that House Republicans stand their ground and do the right thing by voting ‘no’ on this misguided and exorbitantly expensive legislation being pushed as a part of the President’s Big Government Socialism scam.

Remember: a vote for infrastructure is a vote for reconciliation. Together, these two bills would spell disaster for taxpayers, open the gates even wider for reckless government spending, and promote a government-fix-all mentality that will surely leave its mark on the economy and flourishing of all Americans.

“With prices for everyday goods skyrocketing across the country, the last thing Americans need is irresponsible lawmakers exacerbating inflationary pressures and pushing the country further into debt. The infrastructure and reconciliation bills are not the fix Americans need. Now is not the time to negotiate with the likes of Pelosi and Schumer–and it is certainly not the time to negotiate with America’s future.”
