The Frontrunner (10/24) reports the Progress and Freedom Foundation announced in a news release that it has “recruited fifteen of the nation’s foremost experts on communications issues to serve on its Communications Policy Advisory Committee,” which will “help shape PPF’s recommendations on how best to reform the FCC and complete the process of deregulating the telecommunications marketplace.” PPF President Jeff Eisenbach announced the members include: Lauren “Pete” Blevin, Partner, Wilkenson Barker & Knauer, LLP; Rep. CQ (10/23, Graham-Silverman) reported the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace “welcomes Vito Tanzi as a senior associate in its Economic Reform Project.” Lynne Ross is “now executive director of the National Association of Attorneys General (NAAG).” Lisa Hawkins is “now director of U.S. emerging markets and diversity at the International Franchise Association, a group representing individual franchise owners and their parent companies.” She replaces Debbie Smith, “now director of diversity at AllFirst Financial.”
