CSE North Carolina Tax Tour Off and Running

North Carolina citizens know that tax policy matters. That's why grassroots powerhouse North Carolina Citizens for a Sound Economy (CSE) is organizing a series of statewide townhall meetings on tax issues: the Spring 2004 Tax Tour.

The tour made four stops this week:

April 5th Swain/Graham County CSE Meeting
15 CSE activists attended the Bryson City event.

April 6th Polk County CSE Meeting
20 CSE activists attended

April 6th Buncombe County CSE Meeting
25 CSE activists attended

April 6th Mitchell County CSE
25 CSE activists attended

Experts from the John Locke Foundation are discussing North Carolina’s lagging economic performance and how high tax rates and other public policies are affecting prospects for growth and job creation in the state. They are also presenting the results of a new statewide survey of business leaders on tax and budget policies, regulation, transportation, and parental choice in education.

Check out the great photos from the tour !
