Michigan Gov. Rick Snyder’s warning to union leaders
After a hard-fought battle for right-to-work legislation in Michigan, Gov. Rick Snyder sat down with the conservative grassroots network organization FreedomWorks, to discuss how the bill came to be and what is in store for the unions.
Snyder signed the bill into law touting it as a victory for the working people of Michigan. How Will Obama’s Energy Policy Affect the Middle Class?
Class warfare was a key campaign strategy employed by President Obama during his successful re-election. Positioning himself as the hero of the middle class, Obama often repeated that his goal was to ensure that everyone in America would have a “level playing field” and have a “fair shot.”
Unfortunately, too many voters believed Obama’s misleading rhetoric. Ironically, Obama’s regulatory policies, especially his war on fossil fuels, are going to harm those he promised to help. FreedomWorks Urged GOP To Vote Down ‘Plan B’
Hours before Republicans in the House shot down Speaker John Boehner’s proposed ‘Plan B’ solution to the fiscal cliff , FreedomWorks urged its members to contact members of Congress and tell them not to vote for it.
“Once again, the Republican establishment is negotiating with itself,” Matt Kibbe, president of FreedomWorks, said in a press release Thursday afternoon. “The $16 trillion monstrosity that is our current national debt is a product of spending too much, not taxing too little. FreedomWorks: Congress, Obama agree to an “epic fail” on the fiscal cliff
Late last night President Barack Obama held a press conference regarding the bipartisan agreement to avert the fiscal cliff and announced he would “sign a law that raises taxes on the wealthiest two percent of Americans while preventing a middle class tax hike that could have sent the economy back into recession and obviously had a severe impact on families all across America.”
Following Obama’s official statement on the fiscal cliff deal, I spoke with Jackie Bodnar of FreedomWorks over the phone for a perspective on just what happened and a reaction to the bipartisan agreement. Republicans caved-in on fiscal cliff
Republicans have been compromising with Democrats for 80 years. Where has this worthless approach of go along/get along gotten us thus far? A $16 trillion debt! The saga continued this week as the 112th Congress of the United States of America had the opportunity to do something substantive and meaningful with these fiscal cliff talks. Instead, they chose a Band-Aid approach, cynically named The American Taxpayer Relief Act of 2012, that raises taxes not only on the majority of Americans, but is especially damaging to small business owners as well.
