Crab Cakes and Taxes: Why Maryland is Sinking

Liberals like to claim that they are the champions of the middle class.  They claim that without Democrats, ruthless Republicans would sell the little guy out to the evil corporations who, like Vampires on the hit HBO show “Trueblood”, would find joy in sucking you, the little guy, dry.  With all this class warfare rhetoric, it is hard to believe that Liberals have time to do anything, but that’s neither here nor there.

Obama Recovery is Dead Last in Job Growth

The Obama administration is fond of reminding the American public that private sector jobs have grown by 4.1% over the past 28 months. The detail they are leaving out, however, can be found in this Commentary by the Joint Economic Committee Republicans . Though private sector jobs have been growing, as the President claims, this is the slowest recovery in American history.

The GDP Seduction

The standard measure of our national economic output is the Gross Domestic Product or GDP. Judging economic performance on the formula for GDP virtually guarantees that government will spend money it doesn't have, whether that money comes from taxing, borrowing, or as is currently in vogue, simply printing it.The standard formula for GDP is:GDP = C + I + NX + G

Big Spender: The Truth about the Obama Administration’s Out of Control Spending

President Obama and his allies on the Left want you to believe that government spending is under control. They want you to believe that this economic downturn will only go away with government help. They want you to believe that the President is not a big spender. There’s just one problem. It’s not true.

North Carolina Supports Fracking

Energy costs in the US have been sky rocketing recently due to over-regulation by the federal government and the ever decreasing value of the dollar. Thankfully, there are options to lower the cost of energy such as fracking, the process of extracting natural gas from shale rock. More importantly, 75% of North Carolinian voters support increased access to domestic oil and natural gas resources including energy from shale.

Obamanator: The Rise of The Machines

“Winning the Future,” is one of the newest slogans from our campaigner in chief.  Obama whips this slogan out when he talks about increasing funding or “investing” for education.  However, it appears that the future is failing Obama.  With time technology constantly advances and evolves but it appears the future is the source Obama’s economic woes.  http://nation

Boehner to Obama: Fire All Economic Advisers

Clearly, President Obama’s economic advisers’ policies have failed to produce any signs of economic recovery. A new report shows that 48 out of 50 states have lost jobs since the “stimulus” was enacted in February 2009. According to the report, government employment in Washington DC has increased while private sector jobs have stagnated across the country.
