Support the Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act, H.R. 3972

On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and urge him or her to cosponsor the Regulations from the Executive in Need of Scrutiny (REINS) Act, H.R. 3972, if they haven’t already done so. Introduced by Rep. Jim Sensenbrenner (R-Wisc.), the REINS Act would reaffirm the legislative branch’s Article I authority by requiring that economically significant rules be approved through a joint resolution of Congress before they can take effect.

The NSA Must Be Reined In

More than 230,000 computer systems from across the globe were recently attacked by a vicious ransomware virus, named “Wanna Cry,” that crippled computers for some of America’s largest companies, including FedEx. The virus, one of the largest of its kind, was paid for by the American taxpayers. How did this happen? How did this life threatening tool end up in the hands of seemingly illiterate hackers? Simple answer: government incompetency.

Justice Reform: Something Bipartisan is Happening in Congress that Could Save Taxpayers Money and Keep Communities Safe

On July 14th and 15th the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee held a heavily attended hearings on justice reform. A common sentiment throughout the two-day event was gratitude for the truly bipartisan nature of the effort to restructure our justice system. Hopeful people are coming together from across party lines, as is rarely seen in Congress, to restore liberty and save billions in taxpayer dollars.
