Is the Obama Administration Still Artificially Inflating Job Numbers By Counting 'Lives Touched'?

When last month's unemployment rate took a sudden and unexpected plunge to 7.8%, conservatives who thought there was something amiss took a beating in the media.  Jack Welch was particularly excoriated for a tweet he sent out suggesting that the numbers were fabricated, and others who had similar doubts were labeled condescendingly as 'unemployment rate truthers'.

Government Regulation Slowing Energy Jobs and Economic Growth

Lights Out: War On Coal Continues Unabated

Let us remember that this was the plan all along. And it's working.Patriot Coal Company filed for bankruptcy on July 9, 2012 as coal prices have plummeted from reduced demand resulting from low natural gas prices and new regulations from the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). (emphasis mine)This is probably just the beginning.

As Promised - Team Obama Kills Another 750 Coal Jobs in VA, KY and WV

In January 2008 Barack Obama told the San Francisco Chronicle:"Under my plan of a cap and trade system electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Businesses would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that cost onto consumers." He promised that his plan would cause electricity rates to skyrocket.

Introduced by Rep. Tim Scott (R-SC), the bill would prohibit the National Labor Relations Board (NLRB) from ordering any employer to close, relocate or transfer employment under any circumstance. The Protecting Jobs from Government Interference Act would help ensure that the government agency does not over step their bounds by dictating decisions made by private sector companies.

Obama’s American Jobs Act will Crush Jobs

President Obama’s big job speech last week sounded more like yet another campaign speech. In typical Obama fashion, it was full of grand promises without much substance. He introduced his American Jobs Act with lots of feel good rhetoric minus the useful details of the costly plan.

Unemployment Rate Increases to 9 Percent

The Labor Department’s monthly jobs report released today shows that unemployment increased from 8.8 percent to 9 percent in April. Back in February 2009, the Obama administration promised that the $819 billion "stimulus" spending package would keep the unemployment rate below 8 percent. The unemployment rate hit double digits in late 2009 and has hovered around 10 percent ever since.
