    Dr. Tom Borelli is a Senior Fellow with FreedomWorks and is an authority on energy policy and directs the Market Freedom Project that is focused on breaking the partnership between big government and big business.

    As a shareholder activist, he has directly challenged CEOs for adopting business strategies that seek to profit from the growth of government and regulations such as ObamaCare and cap-and-trade.

    Dr. Borelli is a frequent guest on numerous television programs, including the highly ranked Fox News Channel’s The O’Reilly Factor, Hannity, Fox and Friends and Fox Business Network’s Varney & Co and Money with Melissa Francis. He also appears on TheBlaze TV’s The Glenn Beck Program and Wilkow!

    Partnering with his wife Deneen, he co-hosts SiriusXM Patriot Radio programs filling in for national broadcast radio shows including, The Sean Hannity Show, The Wilkow Majority and The David Webb Show.

    Dr. Borelli is also a columnist and has written for Townhall.com, TheBlaze.com, Real Clear Politics, TheDailyCaller.com and authored articles for Newsmax magazine.

    Before joining FreedomWorks he served as the Director of the National Center's Free Enterprise Project. In that role, he defended the free enterprise system from big business special interests and government regulation.

    Previously, Dr. Borelli was a managing partner with the investment advisory firm of Action Fund Management, LLC and a portfolio manager for the Free Enterprise Action Fund (FEAF).

    During his 25 years with the Altria Group, Inc., he built a foundation in public policy and issues management, drawing from diverse experiences ranging from basic research to corporate affairs. He directed an issues management group that supported the company's food, beer and tobacco units legislative efforts on regulatory reform and economic analysis. Additional areas of focus included biotechnology, environmental issues and privacy. He began his career as a microbiologist with General Foods, where he provided safety assessments for new products and also conducted basic research in biotechnology.

    Dr. Borelli served as science fellow for the U.S. House of Representatives' Committee on Science, Space and Technology during the 100th Congress. Dr. Borelli has also published scientific papers on interferon and human leukemia. He received his Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from Michigan State University and his Master of Science and Ph.D. in Biochemistry from New York Medical College.
