A SOUND ECONOMY

More than 400 people from 37 Florida counties met recently in Orlando for the Citizens for a Sound Economy Issues 2000 forum. Among them were Polk Countians Cathy Phillips, Ann B. Suden, Betty Rust, Ann Wolfe, Gay Harlowe and Shane and Carol Platt.

Discussion included tort reform, school choice, Social Security reform, Medicare and prescription drugs, increasing voter registration/participation and community involvement issues. CSE has more than 40,000 members throughout Florida, according to Phillips.
