FreedomWorks Michigan Hosts Public Policy Dinner

Livonia, MI – Congressman Mike Rogers and Congressman Thaddeus McCotter treated more than 200 individuals in attendance to an evening of discussion and policy debate focusing on China and its role in the world economy. Michigan Speaker of the House Craig DeRoche hosted the event and also gave an update on the Michigan Legislature’s activities in the upcoming year and the agenda put forward by conservatives to move Michigan’s economy out of last place in the nation.

Several of Michigan’s House and Senate legislators were also in attendance including Sen. Valde Garcia, Sen. Laura Toy and Rep. John Stakoe and Rep. John Pastor. Also, in attendance were over 20 city and county officials in SE Michigan to enjoy the evenings address by the Congressmen.

FreedomWorks Michigan State Director Randall Thompson said, “Tonight is yet another example of how FreedomWorks mobilizes and prepares grassroots activists with first hand knowledge of the policies that are being discussed in Lansing and Washington D.C.”

The event was highlighted by two keynote speeches by members of Michigan’s Congressional delegation, an address by Michigan’s Speaker of the House and a 45 minute question and answer session for the attendees to pose to the Congressmen. The event was held at Burton Manor Banquet Hall in Livonia, Michigan.
