The 9/12 Remember in November March on Washington is rapidly approaching. Many asked all summer, "Where are the t-shirts?" Well, the t-shirts are here, they sold out several times - and we've just restocked in time for the march.&nb
FreedomWorks Chairman Dick Armey, Presiden Matt Kibbe and half the campaigns department (the illustrius duo Brendan "Precinct Captain" Steinhauser and Dave "Phone Bank" Spielman) are in California this week. The team is out there to bring our new book Give Us Liberty: A Tea Party Manifesto and a giant dose of get out the vote and grassroots activism know-how to the Golden State. If the pictures and updates we've received over the years from the hard core tea party tribe in Temecula is any indication, an awesome time will definitely be had by all.
A few brief thoughts on a selection of Tuesday’s primary results:
Good news everyone - Congresswoman Michele Bachmann has joined the 8/27 FreedomWorks Take America Back Convention lineup! Bachmann has been a stalwart defender of liberty and supporter of the tea party movement. She is also a Contract with America signer and we're thrilled to have her join us on Friday. See below for Bachamann's speech on April 15 at the DC Tax Day Tea Party.
The official 2010 9/12 March on Washington t-shirt is now available. In keeping with this year's theme, the shirt declares "Remember in November." Prices are low to ensure everyone can buy one and any proceeds will go toward funding the event. Buy yours here.
Due to the overwhelming response, we've managed to find a way to make more tickets available for the 8/27 FreedomWorks' Take America Back Convention. These new $15 tickets do NOT include dinner, but you'll get to enjoy the convention, get a free t-shirt, and all the GOTV materials you could desire. And there are lots of other great (but not free) dinner options available in the area as well.
Over the past ten years, enrollment in PA public schools has declined, while spending and staff have grown by leaps and bounds. According to the Commonwealth Foundation, taxpayers now spend an outrageous $14,420 per pupil each year, while at the same time student performance has stagnated. Test scores have barely changed and PA continues to rank near the bottom of the nation in combined SAT scores.
Whether or not you believe that life imitates sport, we can be sure that sports are a business. Keeping this in mind, it should be alarming to the United Kingdom that European golfers are considering backing out of the Ryder Cup because of the outrageous UK tax policy. Considering the European team’s success in the Ryder Cup has been attributed as much to players’ camaraderie as their skill, this unrest among the players is arresting.
Congresswoman Michelle Bachmann is hosting a tele-townhall on Monday, August 9 at 6 pm Central Time to discuss the out of countrol spending and tax hikes threats facing Americans this fall.
The FreedomWorks panda is ready to Take America Back this fall. Are you?Join him on 9/12!
