TODAY: FreedomWorks and David Sokol Launch New Book America in Perspective

WASHINGTON, D.C. — FreedomWorks President Adam Brandon and business leader David Sokol are pleased to announce the launch of their new book, America in Perspective: Defending the American Dream for the Next Generation. Brandon and Sokol’s book is the definitive argument for why we must protect America’s founding values of meritocracy, self-healing and self-correction that make the United States a land of opportunity for all.

Adam Brandon, FreedomWorks President, commented:

“The prevailing narrative that you see and hear in America today is that we are a fundamentally flawed country. This could not be further from the truth and this distorted perception of our founding principles is exactly why we authored America in Perspective.”

“Nowhere else in history can you find a nation that has embodied the same values as laid out in our nation’s founding. This is not to say that America is ‘perfect,’ but that our unique system that emphasizes meritocracy, self-healing and consensus building has enabled millions to attain the American Dream. We wrote this book because the American system is worth saving.”

David Sokol, founder of Teton Capital and Chairman Emeritus of the Horatio Alger Association, commented:

“Like it says in the title, we take a look at America in perspective. This means taking a holistic view of our history– the good and the bad. This approach has been lost on many today, but judging by the fact that our uniquely American system has improved the lives of so many since our founding, we felt we had to give the American story a proper evaluation.”

“In addition to the numerous examples we give, my own personal experience has taught me that America is truly something special. Nowhere else can you find a country that affords the same opportunities to all, regardless of their background or origin. We owe it not only to ourselves, but to any who wish to find prosperity in America for generations to come.”
