Welcome to the new and improved Regulatory Action Center (RAC) Review! RAC proudly keeps you up to date on what we’re up to and what we’re keeping our eyes on here in the swamp. We offer resources for you to get involved in the rulemaking process to hold unelected bureaucrats accountable and occasionally offer praise in the event they have a good impulse. We will also highlight the incredible work our activists have done to advance the principles of smaller government, lower taxes, free markets, personal liberty, and the rule of law. The coronavirus -- and the economic lockdowns that have been imposed on the country as a result -- has left very few unharmed in its wake. Despite an encouraging recent jobs report, millions remain out of work and require financial assistance from the government. As a result, Congress has spent trillions of dollars trying to assuage this situation.

The regulatory state is extensive. So many entrenched bureaucrats have a vested interest in making sure the red tape remains tightly wrapped around American families. They will do what they need to do to cling to power and hold on to their pensions that come at the expense of the American taxpayer. That is why anyone who dares try to shrink its size and influence will be viciously attacked by the political establishment.

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) is correct. The $1.4 trillion Omnibus Spending package is a “piece of garbage.”

On behalf of our activist community, I urge you to contact your representative and urge him or her to cosponsor the Export-Import Bank Termination Act, H.R. 1910. Introduced by Rep. Justin Amash (R-Mich.), the Export-Import Bank Termination Act would abolish the Export-Import Bank, a relic of the New Deal and cesspool of cronyism.

FreedomWorks Foundation's Regulatory Action Center (RAC) submitted formal written comments to the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) to oppose their proposed rule concerning the labeling of dairy alternatives. This rule would be an infringement on the First Amendment rights of businesses across America by essentially banning the use of phrases such as "almond milk" in commercial use. It’s no secret that Republicans have a difficult time doing what they said, but that doesn’t stop them from pretending they’re trying. True conservatives have been trying to end crony subsidies for years and the Farm Bill, H.R. 2, was supposed to be their chance to end wasteful programs that have been draining the economy since the New Deal era.
