FreedomWorks Cheers Return of Internet Freedom

Washington, DC- FreedomWorks celebrates the FCC’s implementation of last December’s Net Neutrality repeal. Chairman Pai’s new directive will promote innovation and competition, both of which are good for consumers.

Contrary to the dire warnings of hypotheticals from big government officials in Washington, the internet is here to stay. Thanks to deregulation, Americans’ internet service will improve.

FreedomWorks Director of Policy Patrick Hedger commented:

"Today the internet is back under a regulatory structure that puts innovation and investment above currying favor in Washington. Thank goodness. Companies should be free to compete and produce networks that deliver blistering speed. When has that adjective ever described government? With the federal government, through the FTC, limited to its role as police, not planners, we’re excited to see the internet once again revolutionize the world, just as it did from 1996 through 2015 under this same regulatory framework."
