WASHINGTON, D.C. -- In celebration of National School Choice Week, FreedomWorks echoes activists' calls to reopen schools across the country.

Laura Zorc, FreedomWorks Senior Advisor of Education Policy Reform and Parent Led Advocacy, commented:

“With the wave of school closures stemming from COVID-19 lockdown restrictions, parents have increasingly advocated for school choice during the 2020-2021 school year. Similar to parents across the nation speaking out against Common Core Standards in 2013, we are witnessing a sleeping giant of parents waking up and demanding better school choice legislation so that their children are able to learn in person. Parents and students will no longer tolerate the caprice of unscientific and irresponsible bureaucrats who continue to keep our schools shuttered for partisan ends.”
