North Carolina CSE Awards Mary Jo and Jack Gibson Activists of the Year

On June 5, 2001, North Carolina Citizens for a Sound Economy (NC CSE) honored Mary Jo and Jack Gibson with one of its 2001 Super Activists Awards. They received their awards at a ceremony at NC CSE’s Annual Day at the Capitol that took place at Halifax Square.

Mary Jo and Jack were recognized for their volunteer efforts during NC CSE’s 2000 public policy issue campaigns to educate North Carolinians about the issues of limited government and promotion of free market ideals. The Gibsons put in untiring hours of volunteer time and have been an inspiration to many CSE members. NC CSE is honored to have Mary Jo and Jack as part of its over 18,000 members statewide.

“It was with appreciation and honor that we presented Mary Jo and Jack Gibson with this award,” stated North Carolina CSE Director Jonathan Hill. “They are what North Carolina CSE is all about: everyday North Carolinians working to make a difference on important public policy issues that will affect their lives. That is what being an American is all about!”
