FreedomWorks Applauds Passage of the Separation of Powers Restoration Act

Following the passage of the Separation of Powers Restoration Act (H.R. 4768) in the House of Representatives, FreedomWorks CEO Adam Brandon commented:

“The Separation of Powers Restoration Act is absolutely essential to combating the growth of the executive branch and reining in the federal regulatory state. Federal courts should determine the outcome of cases based on the merits, not out of deference to the often questionable interpretations of law by federal agencies.”

“This bill is a long overdue first step in Congress retaking its rightful legislative power back from the executive branch and redrawing the constitutional boundaries that separate each branch of government. We strongly urge the Senate to act on this bill and send it to the president’s desk.”
