Photos: Top Activists Gather in North Carolina
On the weekend of January 6, more than 150 of North Carolina FreedomWorks top activists gathered for our annual Super Activist 1 meeting. The event of celebration and information was held in Burlington, NC.
On Friday evening, FreedomWorks kicked off the event with a welcome reception and dinner. The festivities were moderated by Orange County activist, Kathy Hartkopf. Activist Tom Schoolfield of Rockingham County led the group in prayer and activist Don Swanson of Macon County led the group in our Pledge of Allegiance.
North Carolina Freedom Works was extremely honored with the presence of our keynote speakers, Congressman Howard Coble of the 6th District of Congresswoman Virginia Foxx of the 5th District.
Rounding out our evening of speakers was activist Patricia Roshaven of Polk County. Polk County activists successfully fought and won a tough battle on one of our key issues this year: forced annexation!
The Rockingham County chapter was awarded the North Carolina FreedomWorks Best New Chapter Award.
Activists continued their evening in fellowship at a hospitality suite sponsored by Coca-Cola, RH Barringer, Yadkin County CSE, and Bill Randolph.
