Today, the Competitive Enterprise Institute (CEI) sent a letter co-authored with FreedomWorks to the House of Representatives opposing the passage of S.J.Res. 15, the Congressional Review Act resolution which would overturn the Office of the Comptroller of Currency's (OCC) 2020 True Lender Rule. A vote is expected on the resolution in the House later this week.
On behalf of FreedomWorks’ activist community, I urge you to contact your senator and ask him or her to vote NO on S.J.Res. 15, a joint resolution providing for congressional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code, of the rule submitted by the Office of the Comptroller of Currency (OCC) relating to "National Banks and Federal Savings Associations as Lenders."
Today, FreedomWorks sent the following letter to Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) and Minority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-Ky.), as well as Senate Committee on Banking, Housing, and Urban Affairs Chairman Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio) and Ranking Member Pat Toomey (R-Pa.), expressing strong opposition to S.J.Res. 15, which would disapprove of the OCC's October 2020 True Lender rule.
