The End of “Monuments to Me”

Despite the earmarks thrown in a recent MilCon bill, there was one good amendment that passed restricting federal funds from being used for proverbial "Monuments to Me" like the $1.9 million given to Rep. Charlie Rangel (NY) for the Charles B. Rangel Center for Public Service at the City College of New York.

Rep. John Campbell (CA) writes about the victory at Townhall.com.

Campbell also included a great list of past ego-driven monuments that stretch across both aisles.
